Ethical Sourcing
SEA Wave Diamonds has a zero-tolerance policy where conflict diamonds are concerned. We only work with vendors and purchase diamonds from countries that adhere to the US Department of State’s Kimberley Process. Introduced by the United Nations in 2003, the Kimberley Process is an international, cooperative diamond monitoring system designed to eliminate the flow of conflict diamonds, or “blood diamonds,” and thus prevent diamond sales from financing violent movements such as the brutal civil wars that occurred in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Angola in the 1990s. The 75 member countries that participate in the Kimberley Process agree to trade strictly within the organization and require that all rough diamond imports be accompanied by documentation issued by the originating foreign participant. Each piece of SEA Wave Diamonds jewelry is made to order and handcrafted in our local workshop. We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products and are committed to achieving 100% customer satisfaction. Comparison Purchases
To keep our prices low, we do not allow comparison purchasing. Comparison purchasing is the act of buying several items with the intent of keeping the one you like best and returning the remainder. This causes undue restocking and inventory overhead and can be very costly. Ring Sizing and Re-Sizing
Since all of our diamond jewelry is handcrafted and custom-made, we want to make sure that we have an accurate finger size before we start creating it. You can stop by our store, or any reputable jeweler in your local area, to find out your finger size. In the event that your SEA Wave Diamonds jewelry does not fit, contact us at any time to start the jewelry resizing process. Please keep that certain types of rings, such as diamond eternity bands, certain types of materials, such as Tungsten, and certain types of settings, such as tension settings, often cannot be resized after they are made.

Shipping and Handling
SEA Wave Diamonds offers insured, overnight shipping via FedEX delivery on every jewelry order at no additional charge to our customers within the United States, offering you added security on your purchase. We often receive requests from customers all around the world in regards to creating a piece of jewelry. Due to increased security measures we are limited as to which countries we can securely ship and request international clients to call us to confirm their delivery address and check on shipping rates. Please contact us by phone at 212.730.8446 or by email info@seawavediamonds.com for information specific to where you reside, shipping / exporting options, taxes and fees (such as VAT).
For all products shipped internationally: the customer is responsible for determining which products can be lawfully and legally imported into the destination country and is responsible for any taxes, duties or additional charges. Please be aware all international shipments can be subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. Additionally, information about your order, shipment and products contained within the shipping container / box may be communicated to any and all shippers and customs authorities as part of the customs clearance process.
Appraisals
As a courtesy SEA Wave Diamonds provides a professional jewelry appraisal for all GIA certified diamond engagement rings and jewelry fabricated in our workshop. A proper appraisal ensures that in the case of damage, theft or loss your insurance company will give you an equal replacement of your item. The appraisal is calculated using current market data and based on the diamond(s), metal and craftsmanship used in the jewelry making process. It may include the cut, color, clarity, and carat weight of the gemstone(s). Your insurance company can use this appraisal to calculate a coverage rate for your diamond jewelry.
Jewelry Care
We recommend that you have your jewelry cleaned regularly to prevent the natural build-up of oil and debris. Storage is also important. At the time of shipment, all of our jewelry is packaged in a protective velvet box. Between wearing we recommend that you place your jewelry in its original box or another suitably lined box. Take care to protect your jewelry from impact against hard surfaces and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces.

We recommend having your jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected at least once every six to twelve months. These inspections help prevent the loss of diamonds caused by normal wear and tear or damage. Maintenance is also suggested in the event your ring has undergone some form trauma such as being dropped or hit against a hard surface.
Fine jewelry is not impervious to normal wear, activities or trauma. This is particularly true for rings, as hands regularly subject them to considerable abuse. A diamond can chip if hit with enough force or at the right angle. Extreme temperatures, perfumes, cosmetics and household chemicals can also damage jewelry.
We DO NOT provide warranties for damage due to normal wear, product loss, loss of stones, or theft. Damage or loss that result from failure to obtain repairs necessary to maintain the integrity of the product are also not covered.
Unforeseen accidents do happen, we strongly suggest that you insure your diamonds, jewelry, and watches against loss, theft, and damage.
